GeckoLinux is a openSUSE-family Linux distribution based on openSUSE (Tumbleweed or Leap). Polished, out-of-the-box openSUSE spin with multimedia codecs, proprietary fonts, and better defaults.
Strengths: Fixes openSUSE's biggest hurdle: installs multimedia codecs and patent-encumbered fonts out-of-the-box; Uses familiar Calamares installer instead of complex YaST partitioner; Both Rolling (Tumbleweed) and Static (Leap) versions available. Trade-offs: Unofficial community spin maintained by a single developer.
