Clear Linux OS is a Independent-family Linux distribution based on Independent. Intel's performance-engineered Linux distribution benchmarked to squeeze every ounce of speed out of modern CPUs.
Strengths: Consistently wins Phoronix CPU benchmarks across computing workloads; Stateless OS keeps /usr isolated and clean; Optimized specifically for Intel and AMD modern processors. Trade-offs: Tailored for developers and cloud workloads; not an everyday gaming/casual OS; Intel has reduced public maintenance cadence.
