CentOS Stream is a Fedora/RHEL-family Linux distribution based on Fedora / RHEL Upstream. The upstream, continuously delivered open-source development preview for Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Strengths: Directly shapes the future of Red Hat Enterprise Linux; Stable enough for production with fresher packages than static RHEL; First-class container and cloud images. Trade-offs: Replaced classic CentOS fixed releases, which upset some traditional sysadmins.
